Before the semester start exchange students must select courses, which they plan to take at Bochum University of Applied Sciences.

Semester fee
There are no tuition fees at Bochum University of Applied Sciences. However, all students have to pay a semester fee. For the winter semester 2024/25 it amounts to 317,40 €. The semester fee includes for example a ticket for public transportation in Germany and the reduced price in the canteen of Bochum University.
As a student you get benefits in Germany. For example in free time activities a discounted entry.
Most courses at Bochum University of Applied Sciences are held in German. Exchange students should therefore provide a confirmation about sufficient knowledge of German (at least B1).
Students of the Department Business and Management, who plan to select ONLY courses taught in English can provide a confirmation about English knowledge (at least B1).
No specific certificates are required. A confirmation from the home university would be also sufficient.
