Sustainable Bochum University of Applied Sciences

Bochum University of Applied Sciences firmly anchors sustainability in all areas, including studies, teaching, research, transfer and operations.
The aim is to continuously improve life on campus by using resources responsibly, implementing democratic values and promoting diversity.
Various initiatives have been launched, including student projects and sustainability study programmes, as well as the development of a sustainability strategy, which was adopted in summer 2021.
The consistent implementation of these measures is now being pursued with vigour. Other areas of focus include internationalisation, digitalisation, further education, communication, exchange and expertise. They serve as a central lever for a holistically sustainable university.
