Learning outcomes / competences

Students learn the basics of technical drawing and are able to analyse and read technical drawings. The function, design and calculation of elementary machine elements such as shafts, connecting elements, drive elements etc. are explained. The aim is for students to understand the language of the design engineer in this subject area.

    Technical drawing with a focus on reading drawings
    Strength theory in the field of machine elements
    Design of axles, shafts, welded joints, screw connections and the main drive elements

Forms of examination

Partial examinations in the form of written examinations (120 min. each) or oral examinations (30-60 min.) after the respective semesters
